Erica Pimentel is an Assistant Professor in the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. Her research explores how technological disruption impacts professional work. The technologies she focuses on are blockchain and remote work. Erica holds a PhD and MBA from Concordia University, an LLM in Tax from York University.
Impact/Engagement Activities
Erica is passionate about research communication, especially as it relates to bringing the accounting academics and professionals together. She is a frequent contributor to The Conversation and has appeared in the National Post, the Wall Street Journal, and on numerous radio and television shows across Canada. She collaborated on Opening Accounting: A Manifesto. With Charles Cho, she is the co-founder of Accounting for Impact.
