Julie Bernard is a PhD candidate in Management in the Faculty of Business Administration at Université Laval. Her thesis focuses on shareholder activism strategies and stakeholder engagement in sustainability reporting. Her research interests are on responsible investment and sustainable finance. She was awarded Bertram Scholar by the Canadian Foundation for Governance Research. In addition to her research experience, she has previously worked in responsible investment and shareholder engagement.
Impact/Engagement Activities
In 2021, she collaborated on Opening Accounting: A Manifesto and co-authored a report on responsible investing and Indigenous peoples. She is a member of the inaugural Steering Committee of Accounting for Impact and, with Alessandro Ghio, she is the Website Coordinator.
