Profile

Leanne Keddie is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. Her current research examines the use of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance-based incentives in executive compensation contracts and, more broadly, sustainable corporate governance. Practically, she aims to provide evidence that informs boards and regulators on the use and design of ESG incentives and how corporate governance supports (or inhibits) these initiatives. She is keen to explore how business plays a role in the circular economy and to understand how incentives and corporate governance can help to transition firms. Leanne holds a PhD in Accountancy from Concordia University.
